CaraVita Home Care has been recognized by Eldercare Review APAC Magazine as “Top Alzheimer’s And Dementia Care Services 2026,” based on our proprietary methodology, reflecting its position in the industry, and is also named among “Top Alzheimers and Dementia Care Communities,” reflecting its broader leadership. This profile has been developed by the Eldercare Review APAC research and editorial team based on insights from an interview with Beth Cayce, Founder and CEO.
Beth Cayce, Founder and CEOWhat experiences shaped Beth Cayce’s perspective on dementia care and caregiving support needs?
Passion and compassion have shaped Beth Cayce’s career in senior healthcare. Her journey began at age 16 as a primary caregiver for a family member living with dementia. She experienced firsthand how demanding caregiving can be and learned that love and devotion alone are not always enough. That experience shaped her belief that additional support is essential for both the person living with dementia and the family.
As Cayce entered professional training, she found dementia education limited and often focused more on safety than meaningful engagement. Yet she recognized that individuals living with dementia could still participate meaningfully in life if care partners understood how to prompt, cue and connect effectively.
Transforming Tasks into Meaningful Daily Engagement
How does aligning care with personal identity influence engagement and abilities in dementia patients?
Cayce’s philosophy is illustrated through the story of Mr. M, a client who insisted on being pushed in a wheelchair.
After learning he had been a social international marketing leader with a love of history, she tailored her communication to his strengths. Within weeks, he was walking with assistance, choosing his meals, engaging with fellow residents and helping a staff member study American history for her citizenship test. After six months, the community staff could continue the approach independently, and he no longer required the Dementia Life™ program.
This story reflects a fundamental belief: when care aligns with identity, ability often follows.
That belief became the foundation of CaraVita Home Care’s Dementia Life™ program, a person-centered model combining education, experiential training and real-world problem-solving. Cayce emphasizes that tone, wording and physical and verbal cues are essential to meaningful engagement.
“Effective dementia care begins with empathy, structured family discovery and personalized engagement—transforming daily tasks into meaningful rhythms that restore dignity, joy and connection,” says Beth Cayce, Founder and CEO.
Rediscovering Joy in Caregiving
Why is structured family discovery important for creating personalized dementia care routines and engagement?
Training is only the beginning. CaraVita Home Care builds care around structured family discovery and individualized life story work.
Families are guided through questions that uncover personal rhythms, sources of joy and what helps their loved one feel valued and connected.
This approach is never static. Dementia is progressive, and care must evolve alongside it. CaraVita’s model uses a continuous loop of observation, reassessment and coaching. Care teams and families monitor responses to cues, environments and interactions, and adjust in real time.
If processing slows, cues are simplified. If physical abilities change, support is modified.
This ensures care remains effective, responsive and deeply personalized, rather than relying on a one-time care plan.
A Guided, Hands-On Approach
In what ways does CaraVita structure its care planning and training for dementia support services?
Cayce’s process begins with a discovery call and participation in the Virtual Dementia Tour, followed by a home visit to assess the environment, safety needs and the individual’s condition.
The team then develops a personalized plan that may include dementia care planning with a Daily Functional Flow, respite support, engagement strategies and coaching for families and caregivers.
CaraVita Home Care also offers Masterful Moments, an experiential training program recognized by the Alzheimer’s Association after curriculum review for incorporating evidence-based Dementia Care Practice Recommendations. As noted by Emily Shubeck, Director at the Alzheimer’s Association, this alignment reflects a strong commitment to person-centered, evidence-based care.
Care That Evolves with the Journey
Rather than setting a routine and stepping away, CaraVita Home Care stays engaged as needs change. Care decisions are continually refined, ensuring families feel supported and confident throughout the progression of dementia.
This responsive model allows individuals to experience a life defined not just by safety, but by connection, dignity and purpose.
